THE RESTAURANT
For over half a century, Il Gatto Nero has promised a journey through the flavors and colors of italian cuisine.
Gatto Nero's story is long, established and glorious. It all began with a happy and timely idea from Werter Frisoni. In 1970, Werter, together with his family, took on the commitment to practice a line of cuisine typical of the territory and the the best pizza from the Romagna coast. For 50 years of passion, Werter, along with his children, carried on a piece of Rimini's History, which has been felt as far as Sweden, Norway, Finland, The Netherlands, and lately in Russia, so much that Gatto Nero has become a must-stop for many when in the area.

In July 2020, Giorgio and Andreea took over the helm of Il Gatto Nero, with the same love, passion, and experience they accumulated locally after being part of the Il Gatto Nero family for over 10 years. They then decided to move abroad to expand their gastronomic and hospitality knowledge, working in some of the most well-known establishments in New York City. Finally, they returned to their roots and delight their customers with their home-style specialties and innovative recipes at Il Gatto Nero.
